Joel Kirkpatrick is an investor, operator, and real estate advisor focused on identifying and executing high-performing short-term rental and luxury property opportunities. With a background in capital allocation across equities, startups, and real estate, he brings an analytical, ROI-driven approach to every transaction.

At Campbell Realty Advisors, Joel works with investors and homeowners to acquire, position, and optimize properties for both lifestyle and income performance. He specializes in short-term rental assets, value-add opportunities, and luxury builds, helping clients make decisions rooted in data, market dynamics, and long-term upside.

What sets Joel apart is his ability to bridge strategy and execution—turning complex opportunities into clear plans that perform. His experience operating a short-term rental management company and building a proptech platform gives him a real-world edge on what actually drives revenue, guest experience, and asset value.

Outside of real estate, Joel is an active investor and founder, with a focus on building and scaling businesses that create leverage and measurable results.

Integrity, fidelity, and tenacity are some core components of my character that have served me well, both personally and professionally, over the course of decades of my service to others. Additionally, my innate leadership traits also moved me into a variety of positions of responsibility that I did not, at least consciously, seek.

As a fresh 19 year old Air Force enlistee in basic training, I was rapidly assigned the role of "squad leader" giving me accountability for fifteen of my shaved headed peers. After four years, 1976-1980, as a military corpsman, I returned to civilian life where I began my work as a paramedic. Yep! You guessed it. Assigned additional duty as a "field supervisor". I obtained my R.N. license in 1985. You are correct again. I was "'House' Supervisor" at a couple of Phoenix hospitals during the following fifteen years which began in Emergency and Critical Care settings. As an aside, and because I find the professions of law interesting, I also obtained my certification in Legal Assisting in 1988. I even successfully represented myself in a couple of different courtrooms after that. Not to worry. I am wise enough to realize when the representation of an attorney at law is warranted.

Working full-time as an R.N., I attended a full-time Master's Degree program and obtained my Physician Assistant ("P.A.") license in 2000. Naturally, I was "directed" by that program's Director to "offer" myself as a candidate and so became the Class President of that school's P.A. Class of 2000. As you may have guessed by now, I don't sit still very well. In 2004, I added my REALTOR license to my qualifications. My affinity for real estate transactions resulted in my first full year as an agent, 2005, earning over $800,000.00 in taxable income. Then came "the bust". I was, understandably, grateful for my "day job" as a P.A.

I'm retired from medicine now, but not from my service to others. From missions on the Haitian border in the Dominican Republic to the slums of Nairobi, Kenya to felling, sectioning and hauling away large dead trees and other debris in the lethal Phoenix summer heat volunteering at the Thai Buddhist temple, site of the largest mass murder in the history of the state of Arizona, in Waddell, my opportunities for serving others has continued to expand.
